Weddings are quite the eventful occasion, to say the least, for just about everyone involved. Despite how exciting the whole thing may be, like anything of this scale it requires a lot of preparation and preemptive planning, which then, in turn comes with a lot of stress, because as we all know, nothing ever goes as planned in life. Especially, when it matters. That’s probably just the nature of this cursed world, but what can one do?

Probably not something you see at many hen parties, but something which should definitely be more common. Dancing is not only one of the most expressive and exciting activities that happen during a wedding, but it is also one of the things that most people are terrible at. Even the people who are not awful at dancing do not feel entirely confident about stepping out onto the dance floor, especially during more momentous events. But honestly, who can blame them? In order to prevent as much future awkwardness for both yourself and your guests, why not go and warm up your dancing muscles before the big day? Some city centre dance classes are sure to either get you back in shape, or show you the basics so you do not feel like a sitting duck when someone asks you to dance.

Now for the thing which goes hand in hand with dancing, we are of course talking about singing. Maybe not some super high-class singing classes, but karaoke should get those vocal chords in shape so you can sing and shout all you want during your wedding. After all, nobody wants to lose their voice on their big day, how would you even greet the guests?

And now for something completely different. Stepping away from the hustle and bustle of dance classes and karaoke bars, let’s shift into a slightly more dignified and refined venue. A hotel or fancy cafe to go to and enjoy your afternoon tea, with a side of prosecco and a few cookies, it is sure to be a rather pleasant experience. A most excellent pick for someone looking for some quiet before the storm, or just someone who is not a huge fan of the conventional party lifestyle.

Recently a trend which is absolutely exploding in popularity, escape rooms have successfully established themselves here and there, making it seem like this is nowhere near the end of the trend. Escape rooms come in different themes, different levels of difficulty and even different lengths. With this much choice out there, you can probably find something suited to both your tastes and time constraints. Not to mention, it’s a relatively new trend so you can go around nonchalantly telling everyone how trendy and ahead of the curve you are after completing your very first escape room. If you’re still a bit lost as to what this whole thing is about, an escape room is basically a set of movie-esque scenario puzzles which you need to solve as a team within a time constraint in order to progress to the end. It might seem childish at first, but there are so many people who went once and are now hooked, that it cannot be all that bad. It might just be your new favourite leisurely activity.
