It’s all about the dress, right, ladies? When you think of wedding dresses, they are usually the big-ticket item on the wedding planning list that most brides expect to splurge on. But what if I told you that you can find incredible, unique, and stunning wedding dresses and shoes for under £1000? Yup, you can. So here I have pulled 7 of the UK’s most sought-after wedding labels that are taking runways (and weddings) by storm.
Chi Chi London
Chi Chi London was born in 1982 as a creative family-run design house based in North London. The label offered bespoke couture samples for the catwalk with a difference; to design “fashion that celebrates you.“
Their inclusive sizing (hooray!) and shapes embody the belief that fashion is for everyone.
The detail on these two wedding dresses I have chosen to showcase really caught my eye. Especially the sheer side panel.

With modern femininity, each gown is tailored to perfection with soft layers of luxe chiffon, soft tulle, silk crepe, and floral prints to create a rich mixture of textures, with an unparalleled range of sizes.
The plunge on these dresses is so elegantly eye-catching, that you’ll have all eyes on you walking down the aisle.

Whistles is a much-loved contemporary fashion brand, based in London. For the busy, dynamic woman, Whistles create timeless pieces with an intelligent sense of design.
With an increasing presence on the global fashion stage, the Whistles brand has become a destination for fashion editors and industry leaders, renowned for their of-the-moment collaborations with independent brands and their emphasis on quality and longevity.
I adore the draping and simple but stunning cuts of the dresses shown here in the Whistles wedding collection.

The RIXO story began in 2015 in the London living room of best friends, then students Henrietta Rix & Orlagh McCloskey. The philosophy at RIXO is to evoke a wanderlust & free spirit, filling a gap in the contemporary market with easy-to-wear, feminine shapes and high-quality materials. Always inclusive, and always empowering, they aim to create a fusion of original hand-painted prints and timeless silhouettes to flatter each and every woman.

The story of the Gianvito Rossi brand begins in San Mauro Pascoli. From his father, a shoemaker himself, who started off during the Second World War creating sandals during the winter that he would later sell on the beaches of Rimini, Gianvito learned not only the tools of the trade but also the traditions of a true craftsman.
The constant search for perfection has been one of the most important teachings for Gianvito Rossi. “Always find a way to do things better,” this phrase would become, throughout the years, a true mantra for the young designer.

Exuding modern, alluring elegance, Aquazzura’s footwear collections have become instantly iconic since their debut in 2012. Exquisitely handmade in Italy with a particular focus on comfort and wearability, Edgardo Osorio’s creations combine luxury and craftsmanship with an innovative design, sophisticated embellishments, and vibrant colour palettes.
The blue hue of the shoes below is to die for and would look incredible paired with any of the dresses above.

…And last but not least, we have Mach + Mach
Founded by Georgian sister duo Nina and Gvantsa Macharashvili, Mach + Mach is perhaps Georgia’s most celebrated fashion brand and a dream come true for those looking for an Instagram-perfect-fashion-moment. Established in 2012 in the sister’s hometown of Tbilisi, Georgia, the brand has garnered international attention and love the world over for its glittering temptations and glamorous, shine-heavy pieces.
You may notice I blew the budget a little for the Mach + Mach heels, but they are a best-seller and I couldn’t resist them!
