The Wedding Party
As soon as you announce that you’re getting married, you’ll have friends and family wondering if they’re going to be involved in the wedding in any way. It’s better to make these announcements as soon as possible.
The Guest List
You need to know how many people are attending your wedding as soon as possible, as these numbers will affect the size of your venue, the catering, the favours, and lots of other things. Be sure to send out your save-the-dates as soon as you’ve decided, and send out your invitations later.
Your Venue
If you have a dream venue or two in mind for your ceremony or reception, you will want to reserve them for your wedding date as soon as possible, to avoid it being fully booked. You should also book your officiant.
Engagement Party
Your engagement party throws a whole other list of things to book at you, so if you wanted to have one, you should do so a few weeks after your engagement, and a while before your actual wedding date. Be sure to invite all of your wedding guests to your engagement party.
Photographer & Videographer
You need to do your research to ensure that your chosen photographer will take the shots the way you imagine them and at a reasonable price. There are plenty of photographers, such as Lovepear Photography, which pride themselves on fun photo shoots at a price that you can afford, as long as you take the time to look for them.
Entertainment
If you wanted a live band to perform at your wedding, you might need to reserve them several months in advance, so be sure you don’t forget.

Food & Drink
Your reception venue may not have it’s own catering service or bar, so this is something that you are going to have to look into in advance. Be sure to try samples of some of the services best dishes, so that you know that they’re to your liking.
Favours
Wedding favours show your guests that you care about them, so it’s important that you put some thought into them.

Dresses
Possibly the most important thing to you is your wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses. Be sure to start looking for these asap, so that you have time to fit in several fittings.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the end; you’ve still got the cake, the shoes, the hair, the makeup, and more. Try not to get too stressed about it all. As long as you keep a list of everything you need to do, and tick it off as you go along, you should be fine. Your wedding is your big day, so don’t let anything spoil it.
