4 Ideas for a Sports-Themed Wedding

If you want to have a sports-themed wedding then you have come to the right place. This guide will show you how you could have the wedding of a lifetime while being able to honour your favourite team in style.

Fishing Wedding

Believe it or not, fishing is a sport.  Fishing is something that a lot of people enjoy so it is only natural that you would want to make this the theme of your wedding. The decorations and photos of this wedding should be fishing-related.

A couple have done this in the past, and they even used a fishing pole so that they could catch the groom. This was very inventive and it was also a classy way to ensure that the whole event went off without a hitch.

White Sox Wedding

One idea would be for you to have a White Sox wedding. A couple from Chicago have done this in the past. They made sure that their wedding had elements from their favourite baseball team. A lot of the dresses were black and you also had the white bride’s dress. This helped to create the traditional colour scheme that the White Sox are known for.

The couple could incorporate the field where they play as well, as they were permitted to take photos in the dugout. You can also have live betting during the wedding if you want, to create a bit of friendly competition.

Hockey Theme

If you want to have a hockey-themed wedding then this is very easy to do. A couple have done this in the past. They chose the Detroit Red Wings. It seems that a lot of the theme revolved around the colour, as they opted for red flowers as well as various other takes from the team.

If you want to have this theme of a wedding for yourself then the best thing you can do is figure out what team you would like to support and then try and go for the colours that surround it. If you can do this then you are bound to get the look you are going for. If you want you can even go for a hockey-puck wedding cake, as this is a great way for you to spice things up a bit.

The Bears may be a somewhat disappointing team, but at the end of the day, they have come a long way in the NFL season.  The Bears have had whole weddings devoted to them as well. The couple in question adopted the colour theme and decorated the wedding reception hall with Bears flags and accessories. Not only was it a stunning wedding, but it was an awesome themed wedding too.

If you want to opt for this theme then you need to make sure that the wedding itself still has some degree of integrity. You have to make sure that everything fits in nicely and that you put a lot of effort into making sure that it doesn’t go overboard. If you do go too much on the theme then you may find that the wedding becomes less serious and this is the last thing you need on your big day.
