Here are some ideas on how to use eBay in your wedding planning, to save money and time, and to create a beautiful event, as individual as you are.
1. Selling on eBay
One way to help pay for your wedding is to sell items you no longer need or use on eBay. The process is super-duper simple: post the item in a couple of minutes, sell the item, get paid, and ship it. You can sell via the app (on iTunes store or Google Play) or via the desktop/ mobile site. If you need help, there’s the simple selling guide. Everyone could use extra cash, especially for the various wedding expenses. And decluttering leads to clear space, clear mind!
I’m selling a few items at the moment, to fund a new outfit for a friend’s winter wedding in 2 weeks time, let’s hope they sell for billions, and I can trot down to Chanel! 😉
2. Invitations
eBay has numerous options for supplies that will help you create your own Save the Date and invitation cards. You can also purchase blank cards to write your own messages. Your invitations are truly customizable with eBay.
3. Flowers
You also have the option to purchase primarily artificial flowers for your wedding on eBay. You can choose from bouquets, garlands, kissing balls, corsages, bulk flowers and petals. They come in basically every color of the rainbow so you are sure to find the right fit for your wedding. Check out this vintage inspired bouquet I made for my wedding, with some of the supplies sourced on eBay.
4. Wedding Dresses
While it may seem strange, it is possible to buy wedding dresses on eBay. You would of course need to know your size and make sure you are buying from a trustworthy vendor. It may be worth it to check eBay out for your wedding dress as you may be surprised what you will find. People sell their second hand dresses on eBay, so you could pick up a hardly worn bargain of the century! I actually got my wedding dress from eBay! Check out this post about it.
5. Suits
From the timeless classic black tuxedo to bright and funky designs, eBay has suits for sale for your wedding. There are even some with LED lights! I MEAN! You should certainly check out the options on eBay when shopping for wedding suits.
6. Bridesmaid Dresses
Finding the right dresses for your bridesmaids can often be challenging. eBay can make this easier because your wedding party can order the same dresses online in their right size. This avoids any geographical problems and ensures all bridesmaids are matching if this is the look you are going for. There are lots of styles and colors available.
7. Decorations
The various decorations commonly used in weddings can also be found online. From venue decorations like aisle runners, balloons and confetti to table decor like centre pieces, glassware, candles and serveware – it’s all there.
8. Wedding Cake Supplies
The wedding cake is a staple to any wedding reception. On eBay, you can purchase cake servers, knives, stands and plates. You can also purchase unique, fun and beautiful cake toppers to give it your own twist.
9. Wedding Favours
Wedding favors are a fun thing to give to guests to thank them for celebrating your special day. eBay offers a wide selection of bags, boxes, jars and unique containers in which you can put your favors. They also provide the choice of small favors like candles, fans, bubbles, wine stoppers, bottle openers, salt and pepper shakers and key chains.
10. Other Wedding Supplies
Essentially every other wedding supply you could think of is available on eBay. These include: guestbooks and pens, photo albums, flower baskets, wedding tulle, photo booth props and ring pillows. eBay is the place to shop.
Planning a wedding is certainly not easy and can come with a lot of stress. Hopefully these tips for using eBay to plan your wedding will assist with this busy time and help you achieve the wedding of your dreams!
