My Honeymoon in Egypt – part 1

My Honeymoon in Egypt – part 1

I got married to Andy a couple of weeks ago, and boy did we need a holiday! We were shattered, emotional and insane with happiness!

Luckily we booked a week long stay in the Intercontinental Hotel in Taba Heights in Egypt. The Taba area of Egypt is in Asia and is very near the border of Israel, and just across the water from Saudi Arabia and Jordan. So for a place to be so near to three other countries, is very rare!

We were so pleased to finally land in Taba airport. We were one of the last flights out of Gatwick due to snow, and despite a two hour delay and a very turbulent journey, we were buzzing with excitement to have this very special holiday. Not only was it special as it’s our first holiday away as Mr and Mrs, but our friends and family paid for our whole trip by so generously contributing to our honeymoon fund. We are a very lucky pair to have such amazing friends and family, and knowing that they paid for it all, we wanted to have an amazing time and show them that it was (and still is) very very much appreciated!

Here is a sneak peek of some of the beautiful scenes from our amazing hotel that boasted a salt lake, a sea full of coral and tropical fish, a private beach, six or seven different bars all amazingly decorated, five restaurants with delicious authentic food, and a bunch of wonderfully friendly staff that saw to our every need and want!

More coming soon!
